Prosthetic makeup for short film

My attempt at doing prosthetic makeup for a short film that me and my college mates produced during our college days, the film never got completed but the makeup was highly appreciated for its realistic and organic appeal.
Here the lead character according to the story had been attacked on his head and suffered from major head injuries, as well prior to this incident in the story line the character had been involved in a street fight which left some brutal bruises throughout his upper body.
Since the character suffered major head injury, the bleeding was supposed to be shown in the shot which was made using a mix of red, yellow and green food colour pigments in addition to sugar syrup and glycerin.
This was one of my best work in the entire film, I had to make up a bullet wound right in the head. The challenges here were that bullet shots have to look caved in the head, it involves a rather 3D makeup as compared to bruises which can be done by layers of pigment brushing. The 3D makeup was achieved by using petroleum jelly with the blood to create blood clots , tissue paper to form the swell around the bullet shot, grains of sugar to show tissues of skin teared and drops of blood flowing down the shot to show the freshness of the wound.
This was merely a fun project for me, which involved a rather detailed study of bruises and wounds and mix-n-match of the cosmetics lying around at home to create the makeup look.
